Services Member Services Grades

 1. To provide a mobile Health & Safety Service in accordance with the Membership grade chosen by the Client. For Premier members any work required at their premises will be subject to negotiation on cost and duration prior to commencement. Group Rates will apply to additional sites or associate companies who wish to use the Service. Fee does not include costs for specialist services requested by the client or mileage incurred for visits to Clients. Mileage is charged at .40p per mile in all cases.

2. Members shall advise us in writing which personnel within their organisation have the authority to receive advice over the telephone or otherwise. Advice should be sought via your allocated Advisor and a mobile telephone number will be provided for this purpose. Hours of contact are 0800 to 2000hrs but advice may be sought via an emergency mobile number outside of these times or at weekends.

3. Where companies require additional services such as training, these will be charged at the appropriate fee agreed between us and The Client prior to commencement.

4. We cannot accept any liability resulting from decisions or actions taken by Clients without prior consultation with The Health & Safety Service Limited. Should the Client have a matter that requires specialist advice, they will be advised accordingly without any delay. Cancellation or non-payment of Membership fees will automatically render the Agreement void and we will issue an invoice for the cancellation fee and any other costs outstanding at that time.

5. The service will commence upon receipt of the completed Standing Order Mandate or receipt of cheque (where paying in advance for 12-month membership). The contract is for a minimum of twelve months, with a three months notice to terminate the service whether pre-paid in full or by monthly instalments. Where a prepaid 12-month membership expires, the Member will be automatically invoiced for a further 12 months membership.

6. The client authorises The Health & Safety Service Limited to store personal and company information by manual or electronic means on health and safety issues – telephone calls may also be recorded for training purposes only. Clients are reminded that mobile telephone numbers remain the private property of the Advisor and therefore where Advisors are unobtainable, for whatever reason, Clients are asked to contact the main office number or email their enquiry on info@thehss.co.uk so that other Advisors within The Health & Safety Service Limited can provide advice and maintain continuity of service.

7. Unless otherwise specified, The Health & Safety Service Limited reserves the right to increase annual membership fees but Clients will be given 1 months notice of any such change; where initial introductory offers or discount schemes expire this term will apply thereafter. All additional services and mileage will be invoiced; current payment terms 30 days.
